and that anyone who uses it in public deserves a public flogging?

I suspect we are going to hear it a lot in the next few months and each time I do I will be forced to cover my ears or growl viciously at the radio.

I doubt we'll hear it much in the coming months. Because we're in a period of positive inflation, not stagflation.

JackieNo · 17/06/2008 20:25

It's a very ugly word, you're definitely not unreasonable to believe that.

OrmIrian · 17/06/2008 20:26

Well some 'expert' was discussing it on R4 this evening suggesting that it was a serious risk. I really hope not. I don't ever want to hear it again.

it sounds like a dubious sexual practice involving deer to me

OrmIrian · 17/06/2008 20:31

A deer and a bicycle pump presumably

Moral of this thread? Don't listen to R4...

Iota · 17/06/2008 20:33

OrmIrian · 17/06/2008 20:34

snaf! What a thing to say

I shall have to have a restorative glass of wine now. I feel quite shaky.

I know, orm, but I bet they don't talk about it much on Magic...
