AIBU to worry about E. coli after playdate with rescue animals?

My DS went on a play date at a friend’s house (who lives in a farmhouse) they’ve got rescue sheep and chickens. He’s 7, but he’s very much the kind of child who puts his fingers into his mouth.

I guess I’m worried he’ll catch something like e-coli.

Am I worrying unnecessarily?
