To sack off a man due to his social media followings?

Recently started dating a guy, seems very nice. However I checked his instagram followings (I know) and it’s all local woman, provocative and only fans accounts. He’s mid thirties for context.

It’s given me the ick. My friend says I’m being nuts for caring but I really don’t want to waste my time (and organising babysitting) if he's pursuing other woman.

Any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated!

It doesn't matter what your friend thinks, she is not going out with him. I would be put off by this as well so I would drop him.

Yeah, this is definitely a red flag. I wouldn't mind the odd glamour model or influencer account in there, but if it's all provocative accounts that would just be too much. Don't waste your time.

The problem would be twofold for me.

1. He wants to follow that stuff

1. He doesnt realise it makes him look like a sad old perv, and if he does he doesnt care

So he's either stupid, in which case.. why date him. Or he thinks its 'normal lad behaviour' in which case... why would you want to date him.

I think if it was an old account from when they were 20 and they didn’t use it at all now, it would be different to someone who is actively using it to seek out that sort of content now (especially at his big old age!).

If his following count is increasing he’s clearly active on there - does he not realise how gross it makes him look?! The mind boggles.

Your friend either has a very low bar or she's on Only Fans and he's a subcriber.

Have a lot more respect for the men that put on their dating profiles that they’re only interested in casual. I guess these men who state they are wanting a long term relationships are often doing so as they know woman are more likely to give them a chance.

I don't socialise with any man who I know sees women as a commodity.

I follow loads of attractive models/actors on Instagram for the sole reason that I like looking at hot men with no shirts on, so I wouldn’t care if my DP did the equivalent.

I would, however, be annoyed if he was following lots of random local women, as that suggests he’d be after something more than just looking.

This is what’s pissing me off too. Im late twenties but most of these local woman are early twenties (many have their birth year in the username). They also follow him back.

Makes me think they are most likely woman off dating apps. Of course some may be friends but I don’t have male friends 10+ years older than me!

Not sure what to do next. Whether to just not reply to his latest message or say I’m no longer interested.

I’m going to send that now! I ended things with my ex for doing the same (but he was actually commenting on these OF woman photos while we were in a relationship) so I didn’t know if I was being too extreme seeing as we barely know each other.

Glad it’s not just me who thinks it’s gross! Think these men will grow up lonely if they think it’s acceptable behaviour!
