If you have a wind chime do you consider your neighbours?

It's windy today.
I can hear my neighbour's wind chime. It's not a mellow wooden one, or a light twinkly one, rather it sound tinny and tuneless.

I wonder whether people with wind chimes consider whether their neighbours want to hear the noise?

If the wind picks up maybe it will blow down and break.

My daughter has one that I hang up while she plays outside but I bring it in if its windy or when she comes inside. It pisses me off if its out overnight as it wakes me up in the morning. We treat it more like a play-musical instrument.

I have 3 and plan on buying more, I don’t care what the neighbours think.

There’s the Emo Philips joke, “My girlfriend bought me a wind chime which is nice because there’s nothing worse than sleeping through a sudden gust of wind.”

It caused neighbour wars in my old road, I was lucky I couldn’t hear them, but other neighbours took turns removing them.

I live in a 6 house terraced row. From left to right we have “ball bouncing boy”, kicks ball off his wall and bounces it for hours. Trampoline kids, self explanatory. Man with no mobile signal indoors, so is outside booming into his phone at regular intervals. Weed woman, lives in a weed infested jungle of a garden then occasionally does her weeding by burning them in a reeking fire in a metal drum. Then finally the stoners. You know they are in because the cannabis stench, and the mentally ill barking dog who is also presumably stoned, leave no doubt.
Im thinking I might get 10 wind chimes, a distraction for me if nothing else.

I note you also speak very loudly because you are partially deaf so don't recognise that you're practically shouting during everyday conversation.
You say you feel bad about it (disturbing other people I presume) but that you can't help it.

So why are you actively putting up chimes which may well disturb your neighbours?
Why don't you feel bad about it? Because you don't like or care about them, or is it one of those tit for tat situations?

My neighbours are cunts. If they weren’t I’d take my wind chimes down during strong winds & overnight.
