being put in the slow cooker with some nice leeks and potatos?!

He has not been neutered yet (am working on it but want a vet with experience of neutering rabbits as it can be risky) and has become fascinated with running around my feet...all day long. He has even taken the odd nibble. This is apparently because he loves me and wants to have kits with me, but i want to drop kick him through my lounge window.

honestly am i being unreasonable?

have you had a good talk with him to find out his views on where your relationship is going before you stick him in the casserole dish ?

youcannotbeserious · 17/06/2008 16:33

POor little wabbit!!!

He's in love and it's unrequited.

He needs a hug!!

youcannotbeserious · 17/06/2008 16:34

Poppy - I'm not stalking you, honestly!!

saywhat · 17/06/2008 16:35

well i have tried giving him some very pretty stuffed toy rabbits, to pique his interest...but sadly only my smelly old feet will do. I think he might get in the slow cooker himself if i dont give in soon...

I am in no fit state to run away even if you were youcannotbeserious

Saywhat -it gets worse, not only is the rabbit keen on you but sounds like has some kind of foot fetish...

saywhat · 17/06/2008 16:40

he has an abode, but is rarely in it, he has run of our house and has had his heart broken by our lovely female cat molly (she basically tried to remove his eyes for trying to get fresh on the first date), i dont think he will take no for an answer this time, so off with the nadgers it is as soon as i find a vet thats done it before!

oops double post! yes i think he does as he isnt that adverse to giving the hubs feet the odd nudge, and thats SERIOUSLY dangerous, even the carpet mites die when his feet come near. perhaps i should take him for hypnotherapy.

have you tried making his abode more appealing to him - eg putting in some satin sheets, playing barry white in there?

i want to cool his adour lol not fan it! Perhaps some ice packs and some sappy music instead...

He could do with a bigger cage though, its not huge, because he is so rarely in it, and at the moment is covered in hay after his last tantrum over my rejection of his advances. A little bit of me is secretly flattered and i know Dh is jealous, but it could never be.

he might have liked her better if she played it a bit of barry ruby

youcannotbeserious · 17/06/2008 16:45

Is there not a service that allows you to rent a female rabbit for an hour or so?

My rabbit goes bonkers (pun intended) for the bright yello beach ball in his run, highly amusing.

saywhat · 17/06/2008 16:47

no rubby...a pink velvet cushion? poor soul, i am not suprised it hated your sis! my rabbit would probably try eating a cushion like that then decide its only fit to be wee'd on he is very manly really though. I got him some nice vet bed once all fluffy and warm. He only ever used it to wee on and dug it out of his bed at nights in disgust!

oops rubby sorry! ruby of course!

I thought about asking pets at home to borrow a female for an hour or so, but considering it would probably result in more rabbits, i think they would refuse! Perhaps the soft toy rabbits need some perfume. eu de rabbit.
