Please help find me shoes in the next few hours!

I need the help of dear mumsnetters!
I've been invited to a birthday party tomorrow night, a drinks/disco/function room affair.
I wasn't going to go due to confidence crisis, low ebb, anxiety, feeling terrible about myself, exhausted, etc. Have had a really difficult couple of years. But at the last minute, last night, DH has persuaded me I should go and enjoy myself.
I never go out.
So now I need some nice shoes!
I'll wear a black knee length short sleeve A line dress that I've had for years but have only worn once; it's classic so hasn't dated.
I'm 48.
I need next day delivery!!! The only next day service I can think of is Next.
I honestly have no clue what's in fashion.
I want to look like I've made an effort, to look glam yet not too try hard.
Looking for mid heel. I'm tall so don't want very high heels.
I've got a million things to do today and a full day at work ahead of me, with no time to sort this out.
I literally have no 'going out' shoes!
I'd be grateful for any help.🙏
P.S. Bare legs? Ok in March?! (I'm thinking pale skin😂). Or tights? But I don't think black tights will look good with a black dress, I don't want to look like a column of black. But nude coloured are dated, is that right? What should I do?!

What’s your budget? Do you want black shoes? How about silver? Closed or open? Some more criteria would help!

Heel but not too high.
Any colour, anything that would go with black dress.
Regular high street budget, not designer budget.

Is there a sainsburys near you? They do fashion shoes. You could try a load on?

Would you wear something like these? I used to live in heels but would wear silver ballet flats myself now. But you prefer a heel. Do you prefer a plain court shoe? Stiletto or block heel?

You could wear a contrasting colour and maybe match the earrings or lipstick

Or wear black.

I’d definitely go contrasting (bright) colour to jazz it up a bit. Something like this?

@Pollymeg I’m 47 and like the mid Aria heels from Kurt Geiger. Many colours to choose from and would look modern with your black dress.

Thank you so much for all your ideas! I feel like you really tried to help me!
All the ideas were great and in the end I went for the Whistles Matilda shoes. I got them from JL next day delivery.
They cost more than I wanted to spend but I couldn't resist as I love them so much!
I loved wearing them, and I had a great night out. My first 'dressing up' night out in 15 years!!!
