Birthday in December - when should I have my party?

I have a milestone birthday coming up on Early December.

I've never really had a birthday party and I'd really like ot have one for this, at my local pub.

IME, noone wants to come out in Early December, everyone is penny pinching for Christmas or have their Work Dos or other Christmas events hence why I've never really had a proper party.

I'm thinking of doing it on either November or January instead.

My sister is getting married in late October so I'm not sure if November will work for a lot of my family who will probably be skint from spending on the wedding, and my sister and her family who will definitely be skint and possibly on honeymoon/just back from honeymoon.

January is just January. Always a bad month

WWYD?

I really don't want to risk looking like a billy no mates when noone turns up on the night.

So jealous of people with Summer Birthdays!!!

I’d just do it either last week in November or first week in December. I certainly wouldn’t do a summer party

Early December was the most popular times for ours! We've tested a bit as DS has a late December birthday. Early Dec was far more popular than November/January.

Have your birthday whenever you want to have it. It’s your celebration.

That's all very well in theory but I want people to come 😅

I know someone with a January birthday who does summer celebrations (as well as a low key celebration with their partner on the date). A few people commented on the fact that the birthdate was a different month but it didn’t prevent people coming.
I also know couples who celebrate their big birthdays together even though one member will have reached the milestone by a couple of years and the other has a couple of years to make it.
Tbh, the only people I know who have been horrid about it are are arseholes anyway.
im assuming the people you want there, aren’t.
Unfortunately you’ll not get a unanimous response to what you’re asking on here I don’t think.

What about doing it on NYE? Everyone will be in the mood!

Or spending it with family?!
