How would anyone not notice that a food delivery didn’t arrive

WFH yesterday and doorbell didn’t ring. Went out after work to go to the gym.

Noticed a bag from a dessert shop delivered by a food courier by my front door. I didn’t order it or recognised the name on receipt.

When I got home I contacted food courier and dessert shop and asked has anyone contacted them about non delivery- this was 4 hours later. Nope!

They paid £15 for one of those horrible rose milkshakes and some milk pudding. They not contacted either company! Got more money than sense about them.

Theres a lot of drug addled people around OP

Sounds like a weird pregnancy craving but the expectant mother suddenly went into labour and went to hospital to have the baby 🤣

Maybe someone sent it as a present and are wondering why they haven't received a thank you message

Strange things are always happening either food deliveries.

Surely it's just as likely they have reported it but the company haven't recorded it anywhere properly? Seems odd to jump to the conclusion you've jumped to!

It might have been a kid. My son managed to download justeat and order himself a takeaway once.. just before dinner.. and got very much in trouble for it...

It sounds like something that might be ordered as part of Iftar to me so I think it’s unlikely that they were drunk.

You can get a refund from justeat etc very easily (by bot) and they probably just reordered.

Unless it was a gift sent by a friend to break fast

Obviously something to do with breaking fast rather than drunks or kids or pregnancy cravings.
