To be annoyed with the BBC's reporting of this war?

There is so much that I think is important, from all sides, about what's going on. In particular, Iran sending these drones to several neighbouring countries, which seems to be forging new alliances that could shape the geopolitics of the Middle East for at least the next generation. I would like to know a lot more about this - and why ie the president of Iran initially apologised for doing this but has now withdrawn that apology, and what this all means.

But in a week and a half so far the BBC seems to focus way to much on:

  • Brits coming home from Dubai
  • The price of oil going up

When I was a kid BBC (and the other main stream media news outlets) were objective, dispassionate and non sensationalised.

Today the BBC is going on about the price of oil...it's been higher
The war, there have been worse wars in the middle east .
The attacks on surrounding counties. Few people outside of Iran (thankfully) have been injured or killed.
The people "stuck" in the area....it is a know area of conflict, many have moved to avoid UK taxes, so why is there an implied suggestion that the government should do more from the BBC.

The price of oil has dropped back to where it was - it was only at the high level for 24 hours.

Despite this, the BBC is still talking about this issue and now going on about inflation generally, as if it to minimise any criticism of Rachel Reeves.

It's bizarre!

Try Al Jazeera, the App is in English and it’s a useful news source on all sorts of topics, gives an alternative insight.

Same. Al Jazeera gives a good general overview day by day. More info on what is actually happening in the Middle East than whether Brits are home yet. I am a stranded Brit and very keen to know what is actually happening here in UAE.

The current headline is that oil prices dip but are still above what they were before.

The impact on cost of living is important for people’s day to day lives.

Have you actually looked at any of the other news sources anyone’s suggested for balance or are you just focussed on wanting to moan?
