Should I say something to the parents?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some perspective on a situation with my 11 year-old son

A girl he knows (also 11) has started taking "sneaky" photos of him whenever we are out and we pass her on the street, the most recent time was while our whole family was walking down the high street together, she was with her friends this time.

it’s just a game to her I’m sure, but it’s making me really uncomfortable, as to me taking photos of someone without their consent is a serious boundary issue, regardless of age. My son just shrugs it off.

Am I being unreasonable for wanting this to stop, or is this just "kids being kids" these days? Should I raise this with her mum?

I would mention it to her mum.your son most probably hates it and I would too.you don’t know if she is going to do anything with the pics,ie post them etc.it’s not a normal thing to do.

It's harrassing. Say something.

Yes, it's creepy. Imagine it the other way round, too.

thanks for the replies. My DH seems to think I’m overreacting!

Just say it’s starting to make you all feel uncomfortable. I’m sure her mum will understand!
