Am I mad to book a holiday this weekend?

I was planning to get our family holiday booked this weekend - somewhere like Spain / Greece/ Canary Islands but a few people I’ve spoken to think I’m mad as we don’t know how things will pan out at the moment. I see where they are coming from but don’t want to get to a point where we are outpriced and can’t go.

I assumed if things get really bad we would get money back on the insurance but I’m not sure if war means you don’t.

You're fine to book we have booked ours already, just pay the low deposit and get insurance straight away.

Thanks. We have insurance as have an annual one which is about to be renewed so won’t leave us without cover.

I’m booking canaries for Easter break. I wanted turkey but it’s too close to Middle East and rejected Egypt same reasons.
canaries is nowhere near any of it. We have insurance and if we can’t go I will feel grateful we have safety and choices.
feeling much more anxious about dd2 going to Cyprus with her bestie in August but I’m assuming they won’t go if it’s not advised.

I absolutely wouldn’t be not booking a holiday in a location far from any conflict zone. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't think you are mad.

Insurance will do sweet FA though unless you have an incredibly rare policy that covers war!

I don’t think it’s crazy to book somewhere like Spain, I would hope that will still be safe to travel
to. But it’s pointless saying well I have insurance as they won’t cover anything if it’s due to a war.

Ok neither of those places are likely to be affected - Spain not 10000%!
