Speeding through street

One of my closest friends was going over 50 instead of 30 or under through a quiet street with a blind corner, with my child in the backseat!! I’m so pissed off!
People have spoken to her about her driving before and she tells them that if they don’t like it they can get out and walk.
It’s partly my fault for accepting a lift but I didn’t think she’d do that.
DH is livid!
She’s done so much for me in the past that I don’t want to end the friendship but I’m struggling lately. Since starting antidepressants (which she takes sporadically) she’s growing more and more reckless. There’s no way of speaking to her either!

You know she does this all the time. I don't know why you thought she'd act differently just because you were with her. Simple answer, don't take lifts from her anymore.

well that was optimistic given what you already were acutely aware of re her driving

You were in the car at the time?

Why didn't you tell her to pull over and you'll happily get out and walk?

If you don't want to end the friendship and you're claiming there's no way to speak to her, what do you expect anyone here to say to you?

You’d think

You're the parent and you're responsible for your child's safety. You knew she was a bad driver. This is on you. Don't accept lifts from her, simple!
