Here's what Nigel Farage is up to this weekend.

Nigel Farage is flying more than 3,000 miles to speak at a pro-Trump U.S. think tank.

For around 12 hours’ work this Saturday the Reform UK leader is expected to collect £27,856.88 from the Club for Growth, a Washington-based anti-tax lobby group that has pledged to work closely with Donald Trump ahead of the 2026 U.S. midterms.

This group helped raise £120m for Republican candidates in the 2024 election.

So while people in Clacton deal with rising costs, poverty and cuts Farage is being paid the equivalent of many people’s yearly salary to give a single speech in America.

The fascist kind of flavour?

They might, but they will end up with more Red Team Blue Team if so, I don"t think people are that uninformed, they need a Reform government first then they can add flavour with parties like Restore etc.

Nobody needs a Reform government. In any case it would collapse almost immediately if Farage lost his seat. The fight for who would get to be PM and Farage’s tantrum would keep me entertained for weeks. Pure hubris.

countrygirl99 · 04/06/2026 15:59

I think Woke World must be some sort of theme park.

Enjoy paying your hospital bills.

Where are the receipts for the security payments totalling £5m. He's had the donation from a non UK resident, to pay for his personal security. So l assume he will pay £5m and get receipts. It was not given for other purposes. Or so we are told.

Farage gave us Brexit and he is going into government to dismantle Woke World, people are definitely getting value for money, that amount of money is pocket change compared to what the likes of Blair get for speaking.

Is this parody?

Brexit has harmed the UK.

Reform wants to get rid of human rights, roll back workers protections, lower the minimum wage

They are not on your side. They are not here to help you. They are going fuck you and your communities over.

And repeal equality laws and the Child Protection Act.

You also spend longer in passport queues when travelling and ate restricted on working in mainland Europe.

Never mind though, think of all the extra money it saved that went straight to the NHS, oh hold on a minute 🤣

CaptainBeefheartspal · 04/06/2026 16:32

The Reform voters don’t care. It’s all about stopping the boats.

Don't forget they want to bring their US mates in to start fracking!

The obsession with this man on here is insane. Your blood pressure must be sky high. Stay off the news

DuncinToffee · 04/06/2026 17:07

It was indeed nice when Farage went awol for a bit due to the £5m donation questions.

He put himself right back in the lime light with his latest comments.

Mine’s on the low side so it does me a favour. ☺️

Brexit created the boats era. And Boris - the “Get Brexit Done” guy - initiated the biggest mass migration wave in history.

Good going Reformers 👍

Grift, grift, grift

And he rarely goes to parliament and never holds a constituency surgeries.

It ought to be possible to dismiss MPs (other than at the next election) for not doing their job. As in, the speaker or similar should be able to sack them - they should clock in their hours doing their actual job like other people do.

Farage only attended 1 of the 42 Fisheries Committee meetings when he was an MEP.

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

DuncinToffee · 04/06/2026 15:22

Farage is well funded, lots of side jobs that pay very well.

What does dismantle Woke World mean? We are changing to a Sleepy World?

What does Farage bring to Clacton when he is never there?

He clearly is there sometimes;

I don't think you have to be there to write a column for the local newspaper.

As far as I can see, when Farage was a member of the Fisheries Committee, the European Parliament had no legislative power whatsoever over fishing policy - something he complained about at the time. Not until five years later did the European Parliament have any meaningful say on fishing - when the Lisbon Treaty came into force late 2009. Even then, the core decisions of the Common Fisheries Policy, such as fixing and allocating allowable catches and quotas were the exclusive domain of the Council.

Most (l accept not all) could have been taken anywhere. And could have been taken during electioneering. But where are the MP surgeries with constituents? It’s not all about writing about yourself.

And where is he when not voting in Parliament since mid March?

OneTealShaker · 04/06/2026 19:39

Looks like lefties are getting desperate in their Farage derangement syndrome.

DuncinToffee · 04/06/2026 19:44

Clavinova · 04/06/2026 19:11

Has he held any surgeries yet?

DuncinToffee · 04/06/2026 19:46

Clacton’s MP has missed every meeting about regenerating the seaside town.
