Nigel Farage is flying more than 3,000 miles to speak at a pro-Trump U.S. think tank.

For around 12 hours’ work this Saturday the Reform UK leader is expected to collect £27,856.88 from the Club for Growth, a Washington-based anti-tax lobby group that has pledged to work closely with Donald Trump ahead of the 2026 U.S. midterms.

This group helped raise £120m for Republican candidates in the 2024 election.

So while people in Clacton deal with rising costs, poverty and cuts Farage is being paid the equivalent of many people’s yearly salary to give a single speech in America.

Who are they going to deport?

People who use their phone too much, so that will be two thirds of the population.

Better than joining a bunch of antisemites and radical Islamists disturbing a city centre screaming "from the river to the sea!"

If the UK doesn"t pay for his security, and the gift is for his security it can"t really be a "bribe" can it? He is not in a position of power, what would you "bribe" him for? He was running a fringe party that has become a contender party, someone on another thread was implying that he has influence over the BOE! The problem with Farage is that some people hate him so much and just can"t process that things didn"t go their way over Brexit that they will latch onto things that with a little critical thinking just don"t stack up.

He said it was for his security, but hasn't started doing surgeries yet. He then said it was a gift for Brexit. Which was it? And if it was for either of those things why didn't he declare it?

Surely after his I bought the house, my partner bought the house, my partners family (who have no money) bought the house lies you can see he lies time and again?

I have no hatred for him, i just want politicians to be held account for what they say, and his goons just deflect and try and say all politicians are as bad, when they aren't.

He is being held to account now, didn"t you see DL trying to pull him apart yesterday to great roars of laughter in Parliament? That is good politics, but no one can deny that Labour and Tories are now both reading from the Reform script? He is not an inconsequential politician (like 2Tier) he has changed the face of politics and all the parties fear Reform at the ballot box.

But he didn’t declare it. He was obliged to declare any gifts up to 12 months prior to becoming an MP.

That may or may not be true but he's done it through dishonesty, populist rhetoric and sloganeering.

That shouldn't be celebrated, it should be challenged. But every time it looks like the wheels come off he politics to get out of it.

The current by election and smear campaign he's doing id the electoral commission is pure trump.

If he has nothing to hide he should be happy to allow the Commissioner for Parliamentary Standards make his report to the Standards Committee.

What bothers me about Farage's protest about the dodgy donation is not that he had a dodgy donation or even that he didn't declare it, I can shrug those off. But that he insists he didn't have to declare it. As a new MP, he's allowed a lot of "honest mistakes" in learning the rules. He's not saying it was an oversight to not delcare it, he's insisting that the rules don't apply to him. Arrogant creep.
