He just described the sinking of an Iranian warship as the first time a warship has been sunk by torpedo since World War II. Um no it isn’t.

I thought the same when I read it.

Thing is with the Yanks, if they didn’t do it, it never happened.

The man is abhorrent.

I'm not at all surprised - but they know most of their audience won't know any better so they can pretty much make shit up.

Nofeckingway · 04/03/2026 17:45

Even if he did know Trump and his cohorts just blatantly lie , distort facts and basically just make shit up . Morons on the world stage . I despair.

SerendipityJane · 04/03/2026 17:51

I imagine this far out few Americans will know anything about the Falklands.

  • They weren't involved in the action
  • They insisted it could never be don
  • Mrs Thatcher tore Reagan a new one that left him standing for a week.
TooBigForMyBoots · 04/03/2026 17:58

Trump once said "Smart people don't like me" and he got rid of everyone who didn't like him.🤷‍♀️

Every person in this administration has risen to the level of their incompetence.

PinterandPirandello · 04/03/2026 18:28

It was uncomfortable viewing. He seemed almost gleeful.

Tickingcrocodile · 04/03/2026 18:48

I would say ignorance is more or less a pre-requisite to become part of the Trump administration.
