To ask if your Aldi has a Lidl style bakery

I’ve heard that Aldi is rolling out bakeries more similar to the Lidl bakeries where they sell fresh individual bakes. Do you have one near you? Where are they? What are they like??

Yes ours does and it’s pretty much identical to the Lidl bakeries.

We have a brand new large Aldi and it doesn't have a bakery.

No ours doesn't and it annoys me daily

I think I've only seen bakeries in Aldis in other countries, not the UK.

@Bjorkdidit Hertford definitely has one and apparently maybe some of the London stores?

I’m in Bedfordshire, the store was built a couple of years ago. They do bread, pretzels, muffins, doughnuts, cookies, cheese twists, pizzas etc

One of the Norwich Aldis has a bakery does lovely Portuguese custard tarts but the Aldi I like to go to doesn’t have the bakery. Don’t think there’s space to add a bakery in my branch so it’s probably only new stores will have them

New one within range of me did not have a bakery added.

My 2 closest Aldi's don't have bakeries- SE coast, 80miles from London.

Three ALDIs near where we live (outer London) and none of them have a bakery - v annoying!!

My local one does in north London and has for years.

No but I have Aldi five mins in one direction and lidl five mins in the other direction so im spoilt for choice

Our aldi does, very similar to lidls which we also have. Newish store but bakery was added about 18 months ago
Small Suffolk town

One in our town in Suffolk does. Its a newish store but wasn't built work one, they only put one in when a Lidl was opening up in the same area of town!

I don’t think that the bakery in Hertford Aldi is that great. I prefer Lidl’s in Welwyn Garden City.

We have 2 in my town. The old one doesn't but the one that opened a few months ago does and it's great. The cheese pretzels are amazing.

Ours does! Hertfordshire. The bakery is great - really nice pastries and amazing donuts, rolls, etc

We have one in ours (England). My dd says the croissants are the best ever. I tend to avoid it because it's all too tempting

Yeah, looks like it's a London/south/south east or East Anglia thing. I almost never go to those places.

Has anyone seen one anywhere else?

An Aldi has just opened near me, (2 weeks ago) and it has a bakery. St Leonards-on-sea, East Sussex.
