No proof that she deliberately hurt babies.

Just two trials…and being in prison for it

There you go! Argue/disagree move on.

You've not actually given us an explanation to agree or disagree with. All we've had so far is Letby's case has been outstanding a year, which does not tell us what you think the reason is.

I think the reason is it’s a complex case. Usually it would be sorted within a year. But in this case it hasn’t been.

The reason a solicitor hasn’t “swooped in to save the day” is because it’s a complex case, is that what you meant?

So with that in mind... why would a hotshot lawyer or solicitor not having swooped in be relevant then, and how would swooping be possible?

Because we surely all agree that a CCRC case like this couldn't be made not complex. There's going to be so much more material to look at than there would be in a lot of cases, as well as all the politics and publicity. It must need really substantial resources.

Be confused. I know how it works. I know the size of her team and the lead lawyer is a human rights specialist (Forgot his name) I know they are building a case and it will need new evidence which is going to be their issue and not disproving the experts. So why would I make the comment I made? I mean I know the answer. But I can’t tell you. Because you were rude and unpleasant. End of.

I shall wait for you to repeat the same comment again. I won’t explain myself to you. You’re too entitled for my liking.

What convenient timing. You totally know the answer, but it goes to a different school.

@EyeLevelStick didn't respond in kind to your rude opening comment, and indeed has been much more polite than you throughout your tenure on this thread. She also asked the same question as I did, so it'll be fun to see what your excuse for not answering her is when you can't try hypocritical tone policing.

This is just ridiculous.
You came on here saying the thread was full of crazy conspiracy theorists, you claim to have answers but yet won't give them because someone was rude/unpleasant/entitled after your first post on the thread was calling people crazy conspiracy theorists.

Sounds legit 🧐🧐

LuisCarol · 08/03/2026 21:31

I don't know who the human rights lawyer leading the appeal is, but I hope they will cope given the prosecutions team have been joined by the formidable David Dunning and Justin Kruger.

Ah I’m not even entertaining them. They keep commentating and I thought they’d have got the hint by now. It’s what I love about mumsnet. You can choose to chat or completely ignore!

I didn’t think you’d be happy 🤣

kkloo · 08/03/2026 21:47

In other news, I know the CCRCs decision but I'm not telling you lot 😉

CCRC can put something in for review. The courts need to accept it as far as my knowledge takes me.

Don't do yourself down, I enjoyed having an opportunity to reference the popular 'goes to another school' joke!

But this exposes you as someone whose points have no substance, or who is not posting in good faith.

I call people crazy conspiracy theorists and armchair experts on mumsnet.

Oh no, hang on...

As William Shakespear use to say - best to be thought a fool than type nonsense on social media and confirm it.

What personal attacks though? The only post that got deleted recently by MN was not one of mine!

Not sure if you missed it but you got deleted yesterday @Firefly1987. I assume because HQ tend to get twitchy about things that could lead them to get sued for defamation.

That's hilarious! So posters are so protective of Shoo Lee they reported my post? It was hypothetical anyway!

Or protective of Mumsnet.

Firefly1987 · 09/03/2026 00:19

@EyeLevelStick I can't even remember saying anything particularly bad. Maybe I should report every time someone says something derogatory about Dewi Evans. There would be no thread left!

You are at liberty to. MNHQ will then decide whether it has broken talk guidelines.

kkloo · 09/03/2026 07:32

Maybe it was someone on the guilty side who reported it because it was so embarrassing.

I'm surprised anyone reported it tbh because it was really just a very ridiculous conspiracy theory, it summoned up images of a super villain expert panel in an Avengers movie.
