To want to remove YouTube from my TV apps and ask how to do so?

Just that really. I'm sick of the kids only wanting to watch YouTube and nothing else.

Does anyone know how I remove the app from the options on my smart TV, my sky puck box, my PS4 etc? It's on everything! 🙄

Look it up. But I could set a parental code on my TV and put certain apps behind it.

Do It! I've done it, it's a game changer. I did find it fiddly to remove and had to Google for each device. I honestly can't remember how I did it. Some are obvious, some less so.

It will be in your TV's parental controls, but specific instructions will vary from model to model.

You can also put on time limits.

Or lock down the whole TV with a PIN.

You can but you need to go into the device settings and set restrictions to block or remove,

Update: I've managed to either uninstall it, or put a parental pin on it, on:

  • The TV
  • The sky puck box
  • The PS4
  • Nintendo switch
  • Kids tablet.

I've also updated the parental controls on all devices and made them stricter as I'm fed up.

Quite a faff for someone not at all techy but I got there in the end! 🙂

Will be interesting to see if I notice any changes going forward.
