ENORMOUS neon For Sale sign

There is a piece of land opposite our house, that has been up for sale for 18 months. They erected a huge LAND FOR SALE sign there, with contact e-mails and phone numbers etc. It's black wood with yellow neon lettering. It's big, maybe as tall as a van. AIBU that I want this taken down now? It totally spoils everyone's outlook, and probably sets alarm bells if anyone is trying to sell their home. The sun is currently bouncing off it and making me wince. We're quite far back from it, but for some people it's literally right outside their windows.

Go out with some black paint...!

I thought you were going to ask about buying it and what is a reasonable price

Honestly how much time are you actually spending looking at it when it’s rained for like 3 months straight and you’re set so far back?

Also, doesn’t sound like you’re trying to sell so why do you care if people would struggle to sell near this sign?

Just cross your fingers and hope it leads to a sale!

Contact your local council and ask if they have granted planning permission for a large and illuminated sign?

Although painting it black sounds more satisfying. 😁

Neon in coloured paint or actual lights ? If it’s just paint then I’d say it’s less of an issue - we are opposite show homes on our estate other side of a ‘country park’ slither of land and the lights from there mean we’ve had to get black out curtains , even worse when they neglect to switch off the internal lights
