Would you buy something from the person who bullied you at school?

Just this-my school bully has something listed for sale on marketplace . I really want it but I just feel a bit weird about it. I almost don’t want to do it in principle. She made my life an absolute misery at times, verbal , physical bullying, trashed my work- she was vile. Not sure if I’m being petty and cutting off my nose to spite my face though. The item is a bit random and not easy to find .

Honestly no i wouldn't buy it. Just because everytime I used it it would remind me of them.

That’s a good point

Don't buy it

CrispySquid · 28/02/2026 15:46

Nope. She wouldn’t be getting a penny of my hard-earned money, no matter how cheap or trivial the item was.

FadedRed · 28/02/2026 15:46

I wouldn’t either, like pp said, it would remind me every time I looked at it.

Impossiblyme · 28/02/2026 15:47

No

I’d be blocking her too.

NinePoppadomsAndASaagAloo · 28/02/2026 15:47

It really depends what it is, how much I wanted it, how much it costs and how hard it is to find elsewhere. And if I still wanted it I would have to get someone else to go and buy it and pretend it was for them!

No

Moveoverdarlin · 28/02/2026 15:49

ohyesido · 28/02/2026 15:51

No. Someone else must be selling it somewhere in the world

Thanksforyourlackofthought · 28/02/2026 16:02

Absolutely not.

WearyAuldWumman · 28/02/2026 16:07

No.

I’ll add that when I was a teacher, a violent 15 yr old was bullying staff.

His dad was the mechanic who worked on our car and my DH liked him.

The parents had tried to have one of my colleagues arrested for blocking a punch. I told DH that I was damned if we were giving our custom to that family.

I’m trying to think of something unique enough and valuable enough to me to buy from a former bully. I can’t come up with anything.

RunningForSanity · 28/02/2026 16:09

No I wouldn’t. Maybe mumsnetters could find an alternative for you if you say what the item is.

Possibly a kidney for a family member.

send a friend to buy it, then you dont have to interact with this person but you still get the "treasure"
