I noticed he has a Strictly based tour with Joanne Clifton. Given that his marriage ended because of his addiction to porn that he owned up to in the press I'm amazed. I wouldn't pay to see him would you?

His he cured of his addiction? Are people allowed another chance?

I wouldn’t see any strictly related tour as i’m not interested but there are an awful lot of celebs with addictions so I’m sure I have seen musicians/actors etc with one.

ZanyMaker · 28/02/2026 10:03

Everybody seems to have forgiven Ant McPartlin for his addiction issues which contributed to the end of his marriage…..(not to mention his near-forgotten about drink driving crash).

Don’t get me wrong, I believe people deserve a second chance, especially where addiction has been involved - I just don’t understand how some people get picked out for judgement and some people don’t.

I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with him, but it would have zero impact (assuming I knew anything about it - which - if it weren't for this post - I wouldn't have) on my wish to see a dance show which includes him

I never liked them before this because they're everywhere and annoying but I loathe Ant.

Ore seems to have been watching porn since he was 9 years old. He could have sought help through therapy. I'm on the fence about raising awareness, as he's got very young children.

I wouldn't go just because I never really liked him to begin with. The porn addiction was not really a surprise to be honest - there was always something I could not put my finger on.

Yep.

Yep.

By this do you mean McPartlin still being on TV? He shouldn't have been allowed to continue. I remember all the John Leslie and Angus Deayton hoohah 20 years ago.

OP posts:
skippy67 · 28/02/2026 10:14

He's a good dancer though, isn't he? Which is why he's on the tour. I'm guessing his ex wife won't be buying a ticket which is fair enough...

I mean, I agree with the poster I quoted.

No. Despicable human being.

CoffeeDrip · 28/02/2026 10:16

No opinion on the dance show, but he seems a deeply unpleasant person. I read an interview with him in the press a few months ago where he lurched from one ‘woe is me’ spiel to another - porn addiction, ADHD, bereavement - with not a mention of his ex wife and very young children, and the impact all of this fuckry and navel gazing has had on them.

DaisyChain505 · 28/02/2026 10:17

The more men who open up about the negative impact of porn the better.

It’s a topic that needs to be discussed.

Is that for people with addictions in general or just a porn addiction?

BauhausOfEliott · 28/02/2026 10:18

Don’t go and see him, then.

Bit weird to start a thread about it.

Sensible answer.

CoffeeDrip · 28/02/2026 10:21

So discuss it (although how many more ‘raising awareness’ conversations to save a celeb’s ailing career do we really need?).

Then go and do something about your issues and humble yourself.

If he wants forgiveness and redemption, he should start making amends. Selling your story to the Daily Mail isn’t amends.

Ohcrap082024 · 28/02/2026 10:22

When he was in Strictly, there were times when I thought he was quite troubled. That his words, smile and body language weren’t in sync. Something you see when someone isn’t comfortable in their own skin.

Since Strictly, his life appears to have unravelled quite spectacularly. For the sake of his dc, I do hope he can get on a more even keel moving forward.

I agree but it's very hard to, when the judgement and vitriol are so overwhelming.

His ex wife has sold her story to them as well.

@Ohcrap082024 Yes there was a thing about him crying all the time wasn't there?

Yes. This is what I was thinking

Endofyear · 28/02/2026 11:03

I wouldn't go and see him - he never should have won Strictly, Danny Mac was a much better dancer! I didn't know about his private life (would never read the Daily Fail 😂) so that wouldn't influence me necessarily. If he's talking about the negative effects of porn, that can only be a good thing!

candyfloss06 · 28/02/2026 11:32

I also wanted Danny Mac and Oti to win that year and when Ore and Joanne won I was quite unimpressed. Ore’s personality on the show irked me too, always in tears. I’m surprised he’s doing this show really.

MoonshineSally · 28/02/2026 13:12

Danny Mac 🔥 🔥 🔥

Precisely! Especially when we're discussing someone whose addiction started at 9 years old. A very important topic in a time when children are being exposed so early.
