My cleaner is a young woman, 24, who set up her business about two years ago. She now has other girls working for her. At first, she did the cleaning herself, but when I asked for weekly cleans, she assigned someone else.
A few times, the cleaner she sent didn’t turn up, and on two occasions the owner didn’t inform me in advance. I made a complaint and explained that I need reliable people. She apologised and said it was her fault for not letting me know.
She then arranged for another lady to come, who is lovely and has generally been on time. However, she has already cancelled three times this year once due to childcare, once because she was sick, and once because of an appointment. She does usually let me know a day or so in advance, which is fine. What frustrates me is that the owner doesn’t then contact me to rearrange. I always have to reach out and ask if someone else can come that week.
Recently, I messaged her about rearranging and she said she’d get back to me. She didn’t reply for three days, so I had to chase her. She then said she could do Friday at 3pm, and I agreed. This morning, she messaged to say she couldn’t do today because of a personal issue but could do tomorrow. I said tomorrow morning would work as I’m out in the afternoon. She didn’t respond for three hours, so I messaged again and said not to worry as I’d sorted something else out. She then replied saying she could do tomorrow morning at 10.
I haven’t responded nut have cleaned the house myself. The whole situation just feels disorganised and it really winds me up.
