School Wars?

Does anyone know what this school wars thing is all about?

A few mums posted warning about it regarding some schools in London. But my teen hasn’t heard about it happened at her school. Whereas a few parents have come up to me concerned, saying that they will pick up their children from school tomorrow.

Any thoughts? Abit worried.

Its all over Bristol. Schools have been emailing parents, its on the local news & police are involved. Its very scary, I have a13 year old son and the boys - and alot of girls in his year group all seem to be obsessed with fights, filming them and encouraging them. Ours have been told to stay away from the city centre at the weekend and the school is going on lockdown whilst they are in tomorrow according to my son.

Croydon too, apparently from emails I have seen.

We’ve had it circulating in Kingston. Apparently starts tomorrow. However DS is telling me it’s all quite silly and no one thinks it is serious or is worried. The schools are geographically fairly far apart so doesn’t feel very feasible.
Kingston is a fairly naice borough so I wonder if it’s just not going to be a concern here. I’m not worried.

I haven’t heard anything about it. It seems that my DD and friends think it’s silly and isn’t serious. A few people think nothing will happen in real life.

it’s all so confusing but I’ve told my DD to come home and not hang around after school and weekend activities.

Same (Bristol too). Have you heard of Mikeys World? Mike was the son of on of my school friends... he was stabbed a couple of years ago. She is terrified of this happening again.

We’re in Birmingham & had an email from school about this today. Scary shit although my 13 year old seems to know nothing about it (thankfully!)

This has got the stench of social media bullshit all over it

randomchap · 28/02/2026 00:15

Anyone care to link to an actual news story about it?

Plankton89 · 28/02/2026 00:17

Fucking smart phones and social media
for kids.

It is definitely quite a big thing in Bristol, it seems that some schools are in the blue team and some in the red team. No idea where all the meet ups are supposed to be but I wouldn't be surprised if they happen. In the run up to bonfire night we had organised firework fights at various places around the city so there is definitely potential for this to happen.
