Noisy calls in airport quiet restaurant

I'm currently sitting in an international airport in the USA, and first we had English Craig(?) who was talking extremely loudly to someone, so now we know his parents live in Southampton, but he's on his way to St Louis, and we know his mother feeds him lots of brocoli, and he doesn't have diabetes. AND had the fucking cheek to say "I've been told I'm being loud" when asked by the waitress to keep it down

He's now stopped, guess what, some American lady is now talking to her whole fucking family on loud speaker!!!

We came in here because it was quieter....

I can't understand why people are so rude. We had lunch in a really nice restaurant yesterday and the couple behind decided to do a video call with someone. Just why?!

It’s an airport. You don’t go there for a quiet evening out.

We picked this restaurant because it was quiet. There are plenty of other places to talk loudly, I'm not expecting silence by any means, but he was really loud

Some people are just twats. Like the woman talking on the phone at 4am who woke me up when I'd just nodded off on a sleeper train.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that. Having said that, though, we were in a cafe recently where the only ambience was an American lady have a video call with her grandies 😁

Disagree. It might be an airport but it is still a restaurant. There are lots of other places to make and receive calls.

Why are people such dicks !?

What's the obsession with video and loud speaker calls too where everyone has to hear the other person, then you end up in the same room/area and feel like you're interrupting their convo?

Prob best not to rant and Lowe your shit in an airport though 😆
