To not know how school should deal with this?

My dd is in year 6 in a specialist setting for children with additional needs.
She has a lot of trouble with 1 particular boy who has behavioural needs it seems.
Today she came home upset as he had looked up her skirt - she had tights & pants on underneath.
School didn't let me know.
How would you expect school to deal.with this - especially given this is a class for kids with additional needs?
I have already asked school to keep them apart & supervise closely as he has hurt her several times.

That’s sexual assault! What have the school said so far?

Did your DD tell school?

I would expect the school to record it, investigate it by speaking to anyone who was a witness, check if there are any similar complaints against this boy, have a word with his parents and supervise him more closely to check it doesn’t happen again.

Wouldn’t necessarily expect them to react immediately but after investigating what happened

Dd days the teacher and TA 'told him off'.
I spoke to the head once she got home and she will find out what happened and get bsck to me.
Given these are children with additional needs and not your regular yr 6s i'm not sure what the response should be. I've already asked for closer supervision which isn't happening.

You write to the class teacher, copy in DSL, head up email “urgent safeguarding issue”. That will ensure it’s looked at urgently. Report what your daughter has reported and require them to let you know how they will ensure your daughters safety and they they will talk to her in an age appropriate manner.
They shouldn’t tell you how they are managing the boy, that’s their issue.
