It's still early days. Is it healing going ok otherwise?
No dry socket or infection? .
It can take 18 months to resolve but 99% of the time it does resolve. If there is no improvement in 4-6 weeks I would suggest referral to a oral surgeon specialist. Either private or through a dental hospital.
If you can feel a light brush on your skin then it's improving and you can use this as a benchmark.
When you say you can't cope - consider some CBT to help you manage your feelings about waiting for improvement. It will help you feel more in control. Nicely, if it's healing well with no infection there's not much you can 'do' except wait right now.
