Cut glass jawlines on women

I’m starting to notice more and more that modern beauty standards encourage a razor sharp jawline. I’m not sure if it’s me imagining things but has it always been like this? Actresses like Margot Robbie, who is undoubtedly very beautiful has literally no fat whatsoever on her jawline. Looking at other celebs that are the modern standard of beautiful they all seem to have this same trait - Kylie Minogue, Angelina jolie etc. Is it artificial? Are they getting the fat sucked out from under their chins? Or do they all happen to be like this naturally? I don’t know anyone is real life with jawlines like theirs.

Years ago I asked a plastic surgeon who was revising a scar for me about getting a small amount of fat/droop removed round my jawline. He told me that the amount of fat was minimal but removing it could leave me with lax skin. I decided to leave well enough alone. He did do a great job with the scar though after a dermatologist botched a skin cancer removal. I do look at all those people using makeup to contour jaw lines but it only ever looks like I have a dirty face. My skin is very fair so that may be the problem. I tried lots of products and shades too - even the greyed tones some people recommend for light cool-toned skin.

I have it naturally and very prominent cheekbones, which would be lovely if the rest of my face wasnt quite so saggy! I have been asked where I got it done!

Just ridiculous to say “how does anyone even have time to notice this”. Of course people notice when every celeb on the cover of every magazine suddenly has the same facial features that almost no onehad 20 years ago.

It’s a buccal fat removal procedure. I struggle to think of anyone among the A-list females who haven’t had it done. Margot Robbie’s is actually quite subtle compared to, say, Lea Michele and Anya Taylor-Joy.
