To ask how much you overpay your mortgage?

Our mortgage is 1991 per month. We have got to a point where we have a good savings amount. We want to overpay the mortgage by 1k extra per month. We would like to pay it off completely over the next 10-12 years. If you overpay how much do you overpay by?

Our mortgage is £298 monthly (our house is a tiny mid terrace and needed completely gutting when we bought it!). We pay £500 but will hopefully be making ad hoc overpayments when we finish paying nursery fees later this year (in Wales so no free hours until the term after they turn 3)

Like PP I can only overpay by 10% per year. I pay an extra £100 a month anyway, but I paid an extra 3k at once recently after receiving an inheritance. I could actually pay the whole thing off, but I somehow can't bring myself to, I feel like I want to have the money in the bank for a while!

200 quid. However the mortgage is only £400 normally 🤣

We live up north.

This. We are south but had a half deposit and a love price house (well under 250 for a 3 bed anyway)

Yeah nothing - cus it’s already 1900 a month 😩😩

We overpaid by £600 a month, mortgage was £1360. Paid off in full last march and I'm not going to lie, it's VERY nice. Shame we need a bigger house and are gonna move 🤦‍♀️😂
