Im unreasonable for only making this for the first time today! Easy, fresh and bloody gorgeous with steak.
Any recommendations for an alternative marinade/dip?

Lush.

It’s lovely.

Along the same vein, I’d recommend curtido. It’s slightly fermented. I make it in a fermentation pot, but no reason you couldn’t do it just in jars.

Salty slightly tangy cabbage, carrots, oregano, chillies and coriander. Goes on any sort of BBQ meat. It’s Salvadorean, so think things like carne asada, adobo pork, piri piri chicken, chilli, tacos, quesadillas, anything that has a South/Central American flavour.

I make several jars a week and I can’t make it fast enough to keep up with how quickly we eat it. It’s great on steak.

Recipe says to ferment for 3 days, but I tend to leave it 5 days as we have quite a cold house.

Bearnaise is gorgeous too. Never made it though, strictly M&S

Nigella’s green sauce. It’s a lime coriander and jalapeño sauce and so so addictive

I add coriander to mine. Just because I love the flavour.
