I voted YANBU, but actually possibly I should have voted YABU because she's not a wee idiot, she's a big twp.

She's wanted to pull that ladder up behind her ever since she reached the echelons of big politics. She is at least consistent. Consistently terrible.

HelenaWaiting · 17/02/2026 21:02

She's a vicious and deluded bitch madam.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 17/02/2026 21:04

what Goes on in her head honestly

Do we think reform are in with a chance?

I do, I think that they’re a credible threat, LOTS of people support them

there’s also an undercurrent of racist tension in the air lately 🥺

Bookies are less certain than they were

To think that Suella Braverman is a wee idiot?
Bigwelshlamb · 17/02/2026 21:07

She's a swivel eyed nutter.

I’d be embarrassed to be so weak and boot licking.

itsgettingweird · 17/02/2026 21:08

She’s my MP.

I can confirm She’s just as bad (actually - worse!) IRL.

frockandcrocs · 17/02/2026 21:15

Goodness knows how she thinks she’d be in the position she is now, without the Equality Act she wants to repeal. A woman of colour, no less 🤦🏼‍♀️

So we've got our election (in Wales) coming up and they are targeting us so hard. I really hope the people of Wales are not so dumb as to let them get their clutches into us (the Caerphilly by-election was thankfully a brilliant result for Plaid). But as you say, you never know with how they target people, the lies they tell, the populist politic fairy tales they spin. They are a credible thread - not made easier by other geopolitics too - hello America.

If I hear anyone in my neck of the woods say that maybe they 'know what they are talking about' or 'are not that bad' I have a spiel that I roll out. It's funny because I do support Plaid - it's much more of a cultural than a nationalist movement these days and weirdly they know what Wales needs and can achieve because they are all about Wales! - but when people say to me: "Oh bloody Welsh nationalists..." Erm... you want to vote for failed English nationalists?! Because look at their history - they couldn't give a fanny fart about Wales! Never have done and never will!

Labour are dead here for the next 8-10 years except for in some strongholds. But if Reform end up with the Senedd majority I will really have to think hard about where I want to live and if I want to stay here, what that looks like.

AutumnedCrow · 17/02/2026 22:10

What’s the point of Reform? A recycled UKIP grifter promoting failed former Tory MPs - I mean, woooo.

Who is going to vote Reform if they can vote Restore?

They'll vote Rupert Lowe

I am in Wales too, and I know how you feel. But the chances of Reform getting its claws into the Senedd are low if polling is anything to go by. Thank God for the new PR system!

Who sounds a lot like Nick Griffin when the BNP were trying to look respectable and failed.

We hope, we hope! But polling was a bit grim last year and improved after Caerphilly. Yes totally agree re. PR!

The fact that Nigel has managed to paint himself as a “man of the people” and “non-elite” whilst being from immense privilege is a testament to education levels in the UK.

JHound · 17/02/2026 22:26

Braverperson fulfils her role as shield well (like Zia Yusuf). Once Reform gets in she may find Reform voters respond to her the same way MAGA voters respond to Vivek Ramaswarmy….

They had to include a few poc so they could say oh but we aren't a Racist party.
Immigration is a distraction Reform would feather their own nest and that of multi millionaires.
The lamp post scalers with the cheap nylon flags are cannon fodder.
The extreme far right have always used the disenfranchised.
National Front 60s/70s. Skinheads.
BNP/C18 80s Football Firms.
Onwards a plethora of small organisations.

The names change but the message is always the same.

Quite - all those 'man of the people' pints in pub stuff.

Your dad was an obscenely wealthy stockbroker, has multiple properties through his side business Thorn in the Side (very on the nose), and lots of loose cash jobs through media junk throughout the year. Definitely not someone who would drop £20 and bend down to pick it up.
