To think I didn’t get the job?

Has anyone has any experience with being offered a job by the local council?
I had an interview on Thursday and haven’t heard a thing. I actually think the interview went really well but now I am assuming I didn’t get it.

The ones I have applied for they send out emails to everyone at the same time, whether you were successful or not. I have then been phoned and offered it later after the first person turned it down.

I wouldn’t expect to hear back so quickly from the council. I wouldn’t give up hope till next week. They might not have done all the interviews on the same day.

I had an interview with local council on Monday and knew at 5:30 when they phoned to offer me the position. Have they got a portal to login to?

Do you know whether they were interviewing everyone on the same day? They might still have people to see? For future reference, it never harms to ask about the recruitment schedule so that you know where you stand.
