To not want to spend my afternoon off with DH’s friend?

Am I being unreasonable/selfish?

Have booked the afternoon off work and will be the first annual leave off since November.

DH and I had planned to spend the time together. His friend is going through a rough time and asked to meet up on the afternoon off. DH asked if we could all have dinner together or watch TV/hang out.

I think it's nice your DH wants to support someone having a bad time. You don't have to, leave them to it and enjoy the freedom to do whatever you please

Send the pair of them to the pub and do something nice for yourself.

Is this the only time you’ll have had together since November? Do you both work full time shifts 7 days a week?

Why doesn't your dh meet his friend another day? Your dh has plans with you.

Do you not get other time together? It’s nice dh wants to be there for his friend

Send them out together and relax, or visa versa. I wouldn't stop him from supporting his friend.

At your age you shouldn't be 'hanging out' with anyone, let's face it

YANBU but if there’s friend specifically asked because they are going through a head time and need their friends, then it would be shitty to refuse just because you don’t fancy it. You could always let DH support his grind alone and do something else.
