I have chronic pain, I try not to moan and do my best to get on with it. I also under the guidance of my physio go to the gym and lift weights to try and improve my strength which will help my condition.(as well as Pilates and swimming) Dh loves the gym and we have bonded over this.
yesterday dh needed some paperwork (for something joint) he got two files cases out from under our bed and looked through them he pulled a a lot of paper work out but did find it. I offered to put the rest of the paperwork back in the files to help. Dh had put the file cases on my yoga mat (where I do my physio exercises daily) I pushed them off the mat so I could exercise this morning.
When dh came in from work he was angry at me because id moved the cases to his side of the room( true but only because they were nearest to his side) he said I should have put them away. (I can’t lift them because they are big, heavy and have no handles so it would be impossible to lift them in a safe way) He argued if I can lift weights at the gym I can lift the cases. I said I wasn’t going to risk it so he would need to put them away. (Dh has no health issues, trains most days and is extremely strong) he did it but was angry.
im upset firstly why was he angry I didn’t put them away when he got them out? And secondly that he tried to pressure me to lift them, I have literally built myself up from unable to walk to more manageable pain levels and able to work, parent, drive and exercise. I also feel more cautious about sharing my training plans with him if he is going to use them against me in a argument. Am I overreacting?

Yes.

Minor spat between you two over nothing.

He should have put them away if he got them out.

Does he normally leave stuff lying around?
