Gallimimus

BeckiP85 · 16/02/2026 15:11

I'd say its a badly drawn Iguanodon. Iguanodons have beaks and thumb spikes.

Mum of an 8 year old Autistic boy whos fav thing is dinosaurs.

Mymanyellow · 16/02/2026 15:11

Maybe it’s not an actual dinosaur just a generic one.

Bluegreenbird · 16/02/2026 15:11

Iguanadon on or Gallimimus or some generic dinosaur shaped cartoon.

Matsukaze · 16/02/2026 15:12

Doyouthinkhesaurus

curiouscat1987 · 16/02/2026 15:13

Looks like one that stands on its back legs but no idea what. I bet theres a reddit board you could ask though!

pteromum · 16/02/2026 15:15

Iguanodon says my six year old professor palaeontologist DD.

only got halfway through the alphabet on the nhm website but it looks like this to me. Great half term activity to I’d it!

101Alsatians · 16/02/2026 15:18

Didn't Iguandaons have those like curved, claw thumbs tho?

HeadyLamarr · 16/02/2026 15:18

Even a shit rendering of an iguanodon world have prominent thumbs for thumb spikes.

I'm going with gallimimus, but a really naff one.

VioletBees · 16/02/2026 15:19

Is it polite to just ASSUME its identity?

😉

Oooo, that's definitely a strong contender!

NoTouch · 16/02/2026 15:20

It’s just a generic cartoon. Closest would be Iguanodon but it is missing many elements.

Too fat to be a raptor, front legs too short for a sauropod, and legs too long and not sharp enough for a trex or raptor.

can believe I remember any of this nonsense when I barely remember what I had for lunch, ds is 22 🤦🏻‍♀️

GasPanic · 16/02/2026 15:26

I don't think that is supposed to be an accurate representation of a dinosaur.

As people say, the iguanadon the prominent feature is the thumb spikes.

The head is too small for a T rex.

It looks to have the head and next of a sauropod. The body pose (on its hind legs) of a t rex type animal but the arms are too big.

the lower body is pretty fat, more like a sauropod with the legs looking too puny to hold it up and an unrealistically short and fat tail (a longer tail would be needed for balance I think if it was predominately on 2 legs).

I don't know enough about other types to even guess whether it might actually exist.

It's a sad reflection of how unrealistic fridge magnets are getting these days.
