To think that pizza bought from a supermarket isn't actually rat poison

We went away for the week end and bought a pizza from one of the Tescos' finest range because it is dead easy. We also add additonal toppings as I feel that Tescos pizzas do not have enough sweet peppers, tomartos, onions, mushrooms for our taste. We all had a quarter of this pizza with some salad and melon for dessert.

Anyway my sister in law was absolutely scathing about the nutrictional value of this meal. Yet she often gets her family fish and chips in such situations.

Is Tescos pizza in moderation really that bad for children? After a lomg day I really felt too tired to cook from scratch and take aways or restaurents are expensive.

Well there should be no hydrogenated fat which is a Good Thing.

MsDemeanor · 15/06/2008 22:24

That's a really healthy meal. Your sister is a nutter.

nkf · 15/06/2008 22:25

But if you have to add all those toppings, what's the point? You might as well buy a base and make your own.
No idea about the nutrients. It will say on the box won't it?

your sil is being a bit of a bitch, imo. although imo there's nothing wrong with fish and chips (and frozen peas) either.

AitchTwoCiao · 15/06/2008 22:26

One woman's fish & chips is another woman's pizza. Etc.

Why should she comment on your family's meal?

AitchTwoCiao · 15/06/2008 22:33

PrimulaVeris · 18/06/2008 15:52

Nothing wrong with an occasional Tesco's pizza - hardly as if you're having it for breakfast, dinner and tea
