Benefit fraud, driving without a licence and living their best life’s

So a girl I know (friend of a friend) and her partner, live in a council house, they claim all sorts of benefits for their children (one of the does have diabetes but that’s it) she does beauty therapy and her dodgy boyfriend has just built her a beauty room in a council house which Im pretty sure you’re not meant to do. And she definitely doesn’t pay taxes or declares her beauty income.

The worst part of this is that her boyfriend is a nasty peace of work, been in and out of prison for drug dealing but is also disqualified from driving and yet is driving to Kent each day for work without a license.

Their social media posts are them lavishing it in luxury holidays etc, their 4 children had new iPads and Xbox’s etc at Christmas. And yes I’m jealous because I work 3 jobs to give my children a nice house and am
a law abiding citizen and yet still struggle!

Is it bad I find it tempting to report them both?

Report, let the relevant authorities deal with it and then don’t give them anymore of your energy

How do you know she doesn't pay taxes?

How do you know he has no license, how do you know so much about friends of friends?

Report them if you want, you don't need our permission.

I've reported you to the Grammar Police for "life's".

I enjoyed 'peace of work'.

mrscoreytaylor · 15/02/2026 22:30

Do they have twins as well?

gototogo · 15/02/2026 22:33

The running a business is fine as long as she has appropriate training, licences and insurance in place plus declares her income (which she may do, how would you know?) but driving without a licence is definitely a case of report, it’s not o and unsafe

Brefugee · 16/02/2026 09:11

my post got deleted for being "sarcastic troll hunting".
And that others had been deleted for same (they haven't)

So anyway.

How do you know all this is true, OP? how do you know that someone isn't telling you this to rile you up and so you report them and the person telling you this gets to keep their hands clean?

If you think it is true, report them.

If you are rage baiting: do it elsewhere. It is tedious to have all these benefit bashing posts, where there is zero proof of anything.

(eta: i did think of reporting all the other sarcastic "troll hunting" posts but ... meh)

Council house - tick
Disability benefits - tick
Holidays - tick
Not declaring income - tick

Go on. Report them if it would make you feel better.

Why do you think what they're doing is fine?

I wouldn’t hesitate to report them. There is some sort of moralistic ‘judgey snitches get stitches’ on MN because it’s mainly the middle classes who have no idea what it feels like to work your arse off as a law abiding WC person and the dismay of seeing people ripping off the benefits system and getting away with murder. Fuck ‘em. Report report report. What’s the worst that can happen?

You seem to know a lot about them and what they’re claiming. 🙄. Not your business.

She can do whatever she likes in her home, unless she’s breaking landlord rules.

Drink driving is wrong, so report if it’ll make you feel better, and if you’re sure he’s drinking before driving. 👍
