Starting to feel alienated by omni gym culture

I cannot escape everyone talking about the gym. All day it’s a babble in my large open plan office. Gym earlier later, body pump, spin, weights - it’s replaced television

It hasn’t really bothered me until recently. I started online dating and OH MY are the men keen to tell you about their gym time. So many photos. And if they are lifting weights they might be outside - but if they are outside, they are cycling.

Obviously I do know that this is healthy. But also - I sort of miss the days of the pub.

I do a sport which I mentioned in one of my prompt answers, so that might be a factor in receiving all of the gym selfies.

I am starting to despair about ever finding anyone with my approach to life. Health/fitness is the thing I have so I can enjoy life. It is just a part of what makes my days go well - but it is not the object of my days.

I bet there are couch-clinging chocolate & cuddle addicts in Switzerland OLD too.
We make these algorithms, we just don't realise when we do it.

I certainly don't. 😅

Ha OP, don't ever date anyone with a Garmin watch....new level of boringness 😅

I'm a gym/runner/pilates fan but only bore like minded friends and colleagues. An hour spent discussing trainers is productive 😎
