I’d love a housekeeper to keep on top of everything, laundry, making sure everything’s clean etc. I absolutely hate the relentless pressure of cleaning but my OCD makes sure I do it!

A housekeeper 😪😪😪

Like life admin service for families who can afford to outsource it. I think lots of single men would pay for this but some women would feel it is too personal I suspect.

I agree Snoot, I have to do all this stuff for my partner as he’s useless at it. He has other qualities before the LTB brigade starts up 🤣🤣🤣

I was listening to DID and the lady in Paddington said they used to have a Lady That Did in their home when she was little. When I had young kids I would have wanted one of those. Seems to be a handy cross over for a lady to help cook and clean and with childcare in exchange for free board. I can imagine this might not work these days as men would abuse the system for sex slavery.

Really??

Robyn847 · 13/02/2026 12:01

I'd employ someone to just follow me round all day knocking cakes and chocolate out of my hand before they reach my mouth.

cantankerousoldcrone · 13/02/2026 12:02

I quite like cooking, but despise cleaning, so yes a cleaner.

muddyford · 13/02/2026 12:05

A nice outdoor kennel block so the dogs can dry off thoroughly before coming in the house.

Robyn847 · 13/02/2026 12:07

And I don't think it exists, but I'd like a smart bath. So from my phone I could set a nice deep bath to run to the perfect temperature and depth, when I'm 15 minutes away from home, so it's ready and bubbly when I get home.

BlackCatDiscoClub · 12/02/2026 22:19

Robot vacuum/mop for every floor, personal chef, personal trainer and in home gym, heated indoor swimming pool, a PA to help me with all the life admin!

My heated indoor pool would have walls and roof that would be retractable for the few scorching days of Summer, or even be located in a warmer climate.

LoserWinner · 13/02/2026 12:11

A pianist and a grand piano, to provide live music whenever required. Oh, and a house big enough to accommodate them.

Amba1998 · 13/02/2026 12:12

Already have a cleaner but I’d hire one daily but to also include laundry making beds etc

I like cooking plus I wouldn’t work so I’d have time for that

but I’d have a PT every week day at my home gym that I’d have if I had a big enough house

Iocanepowder · 13/02/2026 12:25

Someone to sleep train my 2 year old and be a night nanny until said sleep training works.

Quickchangenow · 13/02/2026 12:26

thistimelastweek · 12/02/2026 21:47

A therapist.
Not because I have unresolved issues but it would be really nice to just talk about me to someone who is paid to pretend they're not bored.

🤣🤣🤣

Also remember that if you had clean sheets every day, the novelty would wear off very soon and you'd never get to really enjoy that feeling again. So a net negative really, when you add in the environmental angle too.

That’s very true !
Thank you

You need to dragon's den that shit! 🤣

Donkeys.

They are always useful.

Villanellesproudmum · 13/02/2026 13:06

A gardener, a cleaner and first class travel. I have a top Chef.

achromaticdudgeon · 13/02/2026 13:07

Years ago I was sat next to a very personable gentleman on a long haul flight. The conversation moved round to what we were doing for a living and he explained that he was a professional concierge. I was intrigued.

He explained that his job, for the last several years, was to run this particular CEOs life. The CEO didn’t like travelling, wasn’t a great fan of change, was a total homebody, absolutely adored his wife and family - and literally wanted everything arranged so that he had to expend his little mental real estate on the mechanics of life so that he could concentrate on what he did for a living/his home life.*

For example - This man used to fly ahead of the CEO to go to the hotel he was staying in and change everything in the room so it was exactly the same every time the CEO would arrive. Everything would be in place, down to selected bed linen, towelling, toiletries - artwork changed on the walls, pictures of his family on the bedside table, clothing arranged in the cupboards. Didn't matter where he was in the world, the room selected was chosen to be similar in size, layout and style and look a close to exactly the same in each location as they could make it.

He arranged all the maintenance care issues for the houses, sorted out dental appointments, phone contracts, subscriptions, haircuts, gym memberships - planned his diary, staff rota for the households - got tickets, arranged parties and invitations. He did the man’s clothes and shopping, planned his food diary (for the private chef)

You could tell he absolutely loved the job and was apparently paid very well *he was incredibly discreet and changed the details /role of the individual in question and I had the feeling he also altered the gender of the person.

If I won millions, I would hire a professional concierge.

raspberets · 13/02/2026 13:07

A pile in the country.

Northernlights19 · 13/02/2026 13:10

I'd like secure housing. And I'd like my children to have options.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 13/02/2026 13:13

A housekeeper, definitely. A PA that can deal with life admin, organising repairs and maintenance, and errands. Probably a gardener depending on where we lived.

takealettermsjones · 13/02/2026 12:56

You need to dragon's den that shit! 🤣

I've actually just googled and it exists!! I knew my parents have a posh one that could to a desired level at a set temperature when you push a button.... But they've now changed it to add control from your phone too. This might persuade me to get a new bathroom!! I'm so glad I mentioned it as I'd not checked for a while!

ElizabethsTailor · 13/02/2026 13:20

A private GP appointment where I could spend 2 hours going through all of the many random and seemingly unrelated things that are wrong with me, followed up immediately by relevant specialists. (Not talking major things BTW, just life’s niggles).

These jobs are often on Greycoat Lumleys. £75k is a pretty standard starting salary. PA/Housekeeper experience for UHNW families is usually needed, plus working on private yachts etc.

Wecouldbesohappybaby · 13/02/2026 15:45

Where to begin ...
Presuming I already have the house, car and my DD and mum also have everything they need (I am rich, after all) I want one of those machines you find next to water rides at theme parks. You know the ones- you get in soaking wet and it blasts you dry. Imagine the time saved towelling yourself off after having a soak in your smart bath.

chateauneufdupapa · 13/02/2026 15:50

Right now, a night nanny.
