What did you expect her to say?

eacapade1982 · 10/02/2026 04:11

Can everyone please stop vying for his blood? We cant keep switching prime ministers every year. We need time for someone to make and effect changes. He's better than Johnson and he's certainly better than Farage.

Overtheatlantic · 10/02/2026 04:20

We need stability right now. We look absolutely ridiculous on the world stage cycling through prime ministers like underpants. And who really wants Raynor or Farage?

mellongoose · 10/02/2026 04:51

Hmmm. I’d normally agree but this man enabled an Epstein apologist. What should his consequence be? Why is that ok because he happens to where a red rosette?

I would change prime minister again in order to find someone, anyone, that is competent and without skeletons.

That’s simply not true.

Overtheatlantic · 10/02/2026 04:57

Yes it is true.

I don't recall Farage ever being PM, this is about the PM

Is Farage in the Labour government, don't you mean Streeting

They all enabled mandelson, we're going to be looking for a loooong time for someone skeleton free!

Everyone was apologising for Epstein.... From the BBC using Mandelson to host their GE coverage to newspapers employing him, to the Cons being wise after the event.... to all the political journalists never questioning him but now saying "Everyone knew about him....." as does Badenoch, said SFA 12 months...

Oh Really?

No one comes out of this clean & in all of this, the victims are all forgotten, the rich and famous all have their names redacted, the victims have their names published....

On Farage, according to polling, he is on course to be our PM in 2029, perhaps a lot earlier if Labour fall apart.... so his views, actions, Russian links and strange silence on this debacle is very relevant...

..... or we get another situation where we all bleat "We didn't know...."

It’s a strange day when the most honest person in politics used to hypnotise women to think they had bigger breasts! Sadly the rest seem to be all involved or aware at some level with the Epstein problem. Might not agree with some of Polanski’s views but at least he would be an honest option if this all goes tits up 😂

LlynTegid · 10/02/2026 06:56

Let's not change Prime Minister now. Let the voters give their opinion via the ballot box, be it in a by election or in the various May elections at least.

I agree. Sometimes people do better under pressure and after making a big mistake or error of judgement it’s what he does now that shows the public who he really is.

Newspapers particularly the Daily Fail have been frothing at the mouth at the idea of Starmer going. How ridiculous would it be for us to get rid of him because he made an unwise recruitment choice when over the water Trump is the Epstein poster boy. I mean I guess it's good we hold our politicians to higher standards hopefully we will continue to do so - looking at that snake Farage.

Ratherubbish · 10/02/2026 07:14

I don't think we have any decent replacement so we can't get rid of him

Overtheatlantic · 10/02/2026 07:55

Sesma · 10/02/2026 05:54

No, I mean Farage. Let me explain how it works since you seem to think you got one over on me. Starmer goes, Streeting or Raynor get in No 10, doesn’t really matter who because the party is weakened to the extent that they won’t be able to fight off the far right Reform. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Hello Prime Minister Farage!

eacapade1982 · 10/02/2026 09:17

Yes, Starmer’s resignation now IMO would increase the chances of getting Farage as PM at the next election, who would be an utter disaster compared to Starmer. How much or little Starmer knew about the extent of Mandelson’s Epstein links, we don’t know. Mandelson other than Epstein was a tempting choice as he is probably a personal friend of Trump and the US ambassador job is about as difficult as it ever has been. Trump is unlikely to respond well to almost anyone in the Labour Party.

MrThorpeHazell · 10/02/2026 12:02

Man's got a 170 seat majority OP. Unless Labour MPs get fed up with him, he's here until 2029.

Your constant posts cannot change that.

Edited for typo.
