I’m taking my daughter and her friend to a concert at Kentish Town O2 Forum. The only tickets were the standing ones at the front. The average age of fan will be 6-12. My daughter and her friend don’t have id. I’ve been calling the forum but no answer so far. Has anyone been, how are they going to police this? Really worried they’ll turn us away. We’re travelling miles for it. Thanks so much. It’s Disney pop star, girl singer aged 16. nothing heavy!

How old is your daughter and friend? I’ve taken my child to a standing gig before (which was mainly adults). 13 and could pass as 14. No one checked.

They’re 11 but look like teenagers….. as tall as me (5 foot 5) v mature. They’re so excited and will be devastated if we are refused entry. They were the only tickets available.

Also I’ve just looked that concert up. It says over 8s only and under 14s must be accompanied by an adult. Nothing about 14 and over in standing area. Compared to other concerts at same venue which state over 14 only in standing area. You’ll be fine - like you say, it’s a kids concert

It does say when you buy the ticket that it’s over 14s only. And it says it on the ticket itself. But I can’t see them filling that area with over 14s as the fan base is kids.

I honestly think it will be fine. I worried a little about a disappointed child when I took mine but we got in no problem. We may have practiced date of birth but no one asked. Also I had a back up plan in the event that we didn’t get in. Kids that age don’t have ID anyway (unless you take passports out which no one is going to do).

Praying we get in. You’ve made me worry a little less, thank you.

I go to a lot of gigs (none there though) and have seen security really cracking down on age restrictions in the last couple of years, and have seen quite a few kids get turned away.

It's not something I would risk honestly. Not without a lot of forewarning and preparation that they may get turned away at least.

They may be more lenient as its essentially a kids event, or they may be more strict because they will be expecting it.

someone asked Birmingham 02 about the same and they have replied saying this. When I looked on ticketmaster that is how it was worded for her tour. I’m SURE you’ll be fine but hopefully Kentish Town 02 will give you a response too. It seems lots of people are worrying about the same thing

Omg you’re an angel! THANK YOU!! I’ve not managed to get through to the 02 in Kentish Town yet but will keep trying - but this looks really hopeful. Thank you SO much!
