Had our bathroom recently done, by a local place. The price was 7.5k the room was ready even had first fitting so just needed to connect up pipes had panels instead of tiles.

Told would be 5 days work, the plumber was done in 18hrs works out at roughly £140 an hour. Contacted the place to state we where not happy as the job looked rushed and sent photos walls scratched, edging trim not meeting properly or stuck down in places, panel boards also uneven. Scratches on bath toilet and shower screen forgot to point out when he was here as felt intimidated. Plumber came back out for 90 mins just painted over the marks argueing it was not into the plaster filled holes from drilling in wrong place to hang a mirror (had to get an electrician to reconnect the mirror after the plumber connected the wires wrong) pointed out trim had been left feeling sharp told I had sensitive fingers. He insisted I signed paperwork just did so he would leave. Within a couple of hrs I got several texts demanding payment last message was saying he wanted payment by morning or would be round. I did try to make payment within an hour of him leaving but put in wrong details stated business bank account but wasn't he would not give me an invoice.

Got n touch with bathroom place as the bath overflow has come undone after 3 baths. They emailed to say the plumber will be back to fix. They use several plumbers told them last time I was not happy with him, feel sick at thought of him coming back.

I would take photos of every single problem. Send them to the firm with everything you've told us in writing. Detail everything. Tell them you want it put right BUT NOT BY HIM.

Have you paid? I can't tell from your post. If not, do not pay a penny until you're 100% satisfied.

Yes it has been paid they wanted 50% payment on booking then 50% on delivery for goods. Plumber was £800 on booking and £1700 when he had finished. Was at home on my own he was threatening to come round and collect payment so paid it even though I had spotted issues.
I had told them most of the problems at the start unfortunately didn't notice scratch on toilet and bath till later. They where sent lots of photos hence why plumber was sent back it ws after that visit I signed it off as he wasn't going to leave.
Hoped never to see him again 😢
