I've had too much time on my hands this week due to illness and I've gone down a rabbit hole with the epstein files.
Is anyone else struggling after reading this vile stuff?
I'm absolutely reeling and feel physically sick to my core. The world I thought we lived in doesn't exist (and probably never did in my lifetime).
It appears that not one single man involved will be held accountable. They are all being protected and the whole thing is being brushed under the carpet.
Why is this barely being reported on? Where are the protests? Are we being desensitised to this evil?
Can anyone help me make sense of this? 😢

Id like to see conversation about what we can do to divest in systems that support these people and power structures, but in a way that doesn’t hurt ordinary people.

Also conversation about taking celebrities and rich people off of the pedestals we put them on. It’s our attention, money and energy that puts and keeps them in these positions of power.

I think there is a deeper psychological issue of people generally not feeling enough (perhaps because of the original sin concept weaved into our society by the Abrahamic religions) and projecting qualities we aspire to onto people at the top of society. Our lives are all about trying to be better - richer, more attractive, more successful, famous. Until now this elite class have been held up as the aspiration.

I think we are experiencing a collective social awakening now that the ‘best’ or ‘top’ people in society have been revealed to actually be the very worst.

Elon Musk wanted to get on the island for some wild parties. Why is that derailing this thread to highlight that he wanted closer ties with Epstein and to party with him and basically lied about it? Years after Epstein's 2008 public prosecution for solicitation of sex with minors, one of the richest men in the world wanted to party with a known child rapist and you think it's derailing the thread to mention it?0

It was also alleged several times each hour all day yesterday that Epstein was also believed to be recruited by Russian Intelligence on the very mainstream LBC News yesterday.

Yes. The media blackout on this is incredibly disturbing. It really points to the issue that underlies all this.

Interesting that UK media is comfortable talking about links to Russia but not to Israel which are far greater evidenced.

Perhaps research for yourself Epstein links to CIA, Iran Contra and Israeli intelligence and Ehud Barak and then assess whether it is adequately reported on within UK and US media

It is being reported on, but redacted to such an extent that the main perps aren't mentioned, but mainly the victims. Trump has had apparently 1000 mentions so far, was a documented pal of Epstein, was elected after saying women should be grabbed by the pussy, but will emerge whiter than snow. And there are millions of documents which will never be released for "security reasons".

Think about it, there can't just be one man like "Epstein" in the world...he just happened to get caught 😐

if you like criminal thriller type of fictions books. Then they are definitely worth a read especially in light of what’s we know now as it’s spooky how similar parts of the book is with regard to what we know now

I’ve always thought that JE was either a spy for Israel , Russia or both
backed by these countries to have a long term spy who can appeal to the rich powerful and famous people and then compromise them with videos / photos and blackmail them

Musk lied about his association with Epstein, he said the JE had tried to entice him to the island but he refused. In reality he was begging for a party invitation from a convicted paedophile. Even if we give Musk all the benefit of doubt in the world and assume he thought the parties were drug fuelled orgies which only involved consenting adults he was still willing to party with a convicted paedophile.

I think we should not shy away from asking questions. We do not know (yet) if Musk ever actually went to the island but we do know that Epstein instructed GM to deal with another email from Musk requesting an invitation and she told him they were closing the island operation down. Why was Epstein rejecting friendly overtures from someone as wealthy as Musk?

I agree with your point about people focussing on people they don't like, it feels like people would be jubilant if Trump was brought down by this but if we only concentrate on the high profile people then nothing will change. Trump is one man, albeit very powerful, but removing him from office won't stop this type of abuse happening.
