AIBU to worry about this thing on my leg I've had for several months?

It bleeds if I catch it, turns quite flat and pale and then springs to life again over several days (Poor description, I know). Wouldn't want to bother a GP but it's been there a few months.

In growing hair

Make an appointment with the practice nurse and get it checked. Looks like a small cyst to me (I am not a medical professional)

Could be a BCC. Nothing urgent but if it is, your gp might suggest removing it. Book an appointment, they will be happy to take a look

Why not bother a GP? It's their job to know whether it's innocuous or not; it isn't yours.
If it's not going away and you are concerned about it, I'd say you should make an appointment and check.

If you really don't want to bother your GP, ask a pharmacist to look at it.

It doesn’t look like one to me (I had one removed a few years ago and it was bigger, redder, flatter and shinier).

Molluscum. If it's flat, that's the give away.

But probably best to get a gp to check.

Looks like an ingrown hair to me too, I once had one similar and when I eventually caught the hair with some tweezers and pulled it out it was about 20cm long!

It’s not a bother to the GP it’s their job. That having been said your ‘growth’ has nice even edges and doesn’t look nasty but you definitely should get it checked out to be sure. K

Thanks all! It is being removed in minor surgery at Kingston Hospital on Saturday and "being sent off for analysis".
