What stuff did your sibling do that you got blamed for as a kid and your parents just didn't want to listen?
Share here and we can have some righteous indignation healing - obviously this is meant to be light-hearted, but if you have rough stuff you want to share then who am I to stop you?
I have two - one is very egregious but still not sure to this day whether it was my dad or my sister that was to blame and it's very specific and outing. So I will go for the second most outrageous crime that I was punished for despite being wholly innocent...
My sister took my Blackberry Farm book (it was called Naughty George, seeing as you ask) and wrote the words (steel yourself): POO! BUM! WILLY! on the title page. She did it during a very long car journey and I think my parents were too exhausted to get to the bottom of it. It was in my book - hence I was the culprit.
Except... I bloody well wasn't! We were on the way to see my Nana and when we got there everyone else got homemade hot welsh cakes with butter and sugar on top, I got sent to the back bedroom to 'think about what I had done'. I think I was probably only there for half an hour, but obviously it felt like a lifetime and I wasn't allowed to come down until I said sorry (I had my fingers crossed in my head when I said it - hah!) I didn't speak to my sister for the rest of the day which made it rather awkward when we had to share a bed that night.
This was approximately 43 years ago... but my innocence was never proved! Anyway, thank you for letting me share. I feel partially absolved...
