Stopping medication because I don't want to get better *TW*

I've stopped taking my seizure medication because I've had so much trauma and intrusive thoughts that I'd rather nature took its course than live through this hell.

Spoke to 111 who got an on call mental health worker to phone me to tell me to phone my GP in the morning and start taking my meds.

I don't know what I expected and I only did it for my family member.

Im sorry you are feeling like that. Do you have someone to talk to?

What hell are you living through? I suffer terribly with anxiety and have felt similar at points but I do always feel better eventually.

Please don't stop taking your medication without talking to your doctor first, they were prescribed for a reason. You need to get some help with your mental health so really do need to call the GP and make an appointment as the first step. I hope you will be feeling better soon 💐

What you're going through sounds very distressing, however, it's something your GP can help with. Please speak with your GP.

There are likely alternative anti seizure medications and support for your mental health. If things get worse while you're waiting for your appointment you could speak to your local mental health crisis team, their details will be your council website. Take care

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way 💐

Please continue to take your medication for now, even if it’s just for the family member.

Then make an appointment with your GP and explain how you feel.

Is there anything else going on in your life that you’re struggling with?
Or is it your ill health that you’re finding too difficult to manage right now?
