Hotels from Wembley

Hi I have bagged tix for a concert at Wembley and trying to sort a hotel. I have limited knowledge of London beyond central area.

Wembley hotel options itself is £££ and I don't think I can justify paying more for 1 night in a hotel than the mega expensive concert has already cost!

I've been looking at Finchley / Swiss Cottage, is this area safe to walk from the station to Hol Inn hotel at night for me & my 2 DD? I'm assuming the 15 min (acc to google) walk to Wembley Park Stn will be safe & busy when the arena empties out.

Last time we were down we stayed in Archway for a gig in Kentish Town, after really helpful advice on here. Hoping for more of the same again 🙏

Yes - Finchley Road / Swiss Cottage is absolutely fine. It's a busy area and there is a hotel almost opposite Finchley Road tube, think it's a premier inn or holiday inn.

This is reassuring, thanks.
I've booked us a refundable room at the SC Hol Inn so we deffo have somewhere to crash.
Just gotta hope we can get on a tube there afterwards easily with the crowds!

Premier Inn Hendon - only 15 mins by bus (83).

But yes Swiss Cottage is fine too.

@TheMeatyDropia it arena or stadium? Stadium you could be queuing an hour easily for tube. Arena will be easier.

TheMeatyDrop · 29/01/2026 21:39

Ok….. so the walk to Wembley Park with be an hour or more of slow shuffling interspersed with standing still! if it’s Harry Stules I think it was 12.30 before my dd got on a train last time.

There is Wembley Central but that a fair walk and a lot less people around.

BertieWoostersChaps · 29/01/2026 22:02

The walk from the stadium to the tube will be as a PP says a slow shuffle and will take a while so just be prepared for it. It’s usually well managed and lots of security etc.

TheMeatyDrop · 29/01/2026 22:51

I don't mind a slow shuffle if its busy & feels safe. Bit worried about if one DD needs the loo tho post event.

Yes, it's Harry S 😁
