To oppose Peak Cluster 200km C02 Pipeline from the Peaks to the Irish Sea

There is a project by Peak Cluster proposing to build a 200km long pipe from cement and lime works in the Peak District to the sea bed in the North Sea.

This pipeline will require multiple above ground installations, spanning huge areas with 50m high chimneys.

The pipeline itself requires 30/40meter trenches to be dug to lay the pipe.

The biodiversity of the above ground will be impacted as deep rootted tress cannot be planted above.

There are multiple safety issues that are a threat to life and health.

The whole thing is awful.

If you are not aware of it please research.

Attached a photo of the map from the website of the proposed path.

I agree! I have family on the Wirral. It would be a terrible eyesore, plus the environmental damage

Hardly anyone knows anything about it. The consultation period ends soon too.

It's not going to the North sea, but the Irish sea. But I completely understand your concerns. It sounds as if it's at a consultation stage at present. I wonder if it will be made, it sounds expensive and disruptive.

It also seems like a done deal.
