Victoria Beckham used to be so different

I like her and think Brooklyn’s recent posts are awful.

I was looking on YouTube today and a video came up of her over the years, mainly with the spice girls and when younger. She was so funny, so cheeky and seemed so strong & confident. She did full, proper smiles and laughs, so nice to see.
Totally different to now, is it just age and we were all probably more like that in our youth?

Why does she strike you as fiercely independent if she's hanging off the arm of her husband who has cheated on her throughout their marriage?

I think she looks her age or slightly older. She definitely doesn’t look like she’s in her 30s.

I think she’s grown and matured under intense media scrutiny. I’d still have her as one of my dinner party guests! She seems to have formed friendships with people who are loyal to her and I think that probably says quite a lot about her.

Yes, I think Brooklyn has no idea what idea Posh (& Becks) went through, growing up in the media glare (yes, I know he was there too). But, he could have gone to Parsons, and didn’t he have an internship with Mario Testino or similar?

He & Nicola live in a social media bubble (not unlike his parents did with tabloid press) but, as another poster said on one of the Brooklyn threads, Nicola will find out the difference between fame & infamy. Rather like Meghan Markle, I think…)

Totally agree with this, there is unhappiness there and a desperation, particularly with Db, I’d be interested to know how he treats her

N’s father intelligent & family Peltz seem more educated than Beckhams so why NP seemingly so indulged & shallow? She certainly seems so young for woman in 30s.

When I see videos of her she seems like she has the same personality mostly, but she is a lot more anal about diet etc but been like that for years. David seems totally indifferent to her. I think he fell in love with a more easy going fun loving person who ate and drank well.

And she has a lovely smile. She has the money to sort it out if she wants to

I had her on a plane I was working on when I was cabin crew. She was very smiley and polite. But incredibly thin. I liked her. Colleagues always said David was nice too. But one time (years ago) Brooklyn sat in business class with a friend while David was in first. David said “teenagers! They don’t want to hang around with their parents”. But it makes me wonder now!

😂 for God’s sake. I just said she doesn’t have the best smile, and she’s well aware of it. Not everyone looks good when they smile. It’s just a fact of life. Her image is carefully curated; she knows how to present herself to her best advantage for photos.

There has been quite a change throughout their relationship. Initially she was the most successful - as David said in her Netflix documentary, she bought 'Beckingham Palace' as it was known. Then things changed and he has become ultra successful, and was able to support her business ambitions, but not indefinitely. At the point he was no longer able to continue, she found another investor.

They have been lucky, and I'm sure that some of that luck involved working around situations and people that they individually didn't want/like.

Agree on the allowance - if really true, still in disbelief. What were they thinking? Were all his children given as much I wonder? Just the girls as decorative as he might see it?

Much of the BB spat is about wealth & power IMO. The Peltz fam apparently thinking B fam tight fisted for not giving BB more cash & a similar allowance.

Would she really stay with someone who betrayed her at every turn? They must get along well enough or things would become pretty unbearable.

Good point, there’s certain skinny blondes in the Chiltern Firehouse set (the new Primrose Hill set?) that DB would be friendly with. His bestie has a young skinny blonde on his arm… I would say VB hates when that man’s number flashed up!

On the supposed $$$ allowance. Her dad would have paid for the wedding, and might have thought she’dmarry a wealthy banker or tech bro maybe… But that’s not the kind of currency she’s after. Like MM, it’s all about getting her (his?) name out there.

Her teeth sort of angle inwards and her smile is kind of rectangular. Making her lips look thin. So I think that's why she got the duck lips and never smiles.

She's had at least two rhinoplasties and obviously years of undereating but expensive skin treatments and filler makes her face a different shape.

I always thinks she looks like she's physically uncomfortable. Like her feet hurt, her stomach hurts, I don't know. Something hurts and she's holding it in.

This looks like trauma bond to me. i was with my exH for many years and whenever i caught him (which he would gas light me massively for) messaging other women, while he would always deny it or make me feel crazy, what would follow would be a period of intense loveliness from him. In a very toxic way over time i almost looked forward to the cheating bit after it as it was the only time he was really nice and attentive. The rest of the time it was directed elsewhere and ignoring me. I realise this sounds weird but looking back that is definatley where i was. I was conditioned over time that i was worthless. He left me in the end and it was the best hing that every happened as i would never have left him. he is now cheating on the woman he left me for!

I think she’s been a functioning anorexic for decades and that takes its toll on body and soul 🤷‍♀️
