I know this isn't really a AIBU thread but after reading some of the threads on here recently about all the relationshop troubles people are having with their OH's and such it makes me feel so grateful for my little family. I appreciate my DH so much more when I read what utter bastards some husbands are (and some wives), my LO's are so blessed to have such a wonderful dad, and I'm so blessed that I met him and I have my gorgeous girls.

eenybeeny · 13/06/2008 23:15

I know what you mean. My DH and DS are great. Life would be wonderful if we werent stiflingly poor!!

misdee · 13/06/2008 23:16

am i confusing this person with someone else?

Quattrocento · 13/06/2008 23:17

Yes bit grinchish - always wanted to smack Pollyanna too

eenybeeny · 13/06/2008 23:22

ugh I hate pollyanna with a passion. Am with you on that one!

DevilwearsPrada · 13/06/2008 23:22

Misdee I have been confused for someone else a few times on here now, I think my username is very similar to womeone elses'. Maybe I should change it.

Oh and I too hope those that are having problems find someone good soon too littlelapin.

Eenybeeny we're stiflingly poor too atm, I usually moan and wail about it a lot but I'm really starting to appreciate the other thiings I have in my life lately.

Quattro sorry for being to sweetly sickly.

I am in your camp and its definately not UR I feel the same about my DH and dd's. He is brilliant in the house, thoughtful, caring and a fantastic dad. It makes me grateful because I was previously married to a cold, mean aloof man but luckily didn't have DCs with him. I count my blessings daily

DevilwearsPrada · 13/06/2008 23:22

Who's Pollyanna?

OP posts:
madamez · 13/06/2008 23:23

Well your user name is v similar to someone whose DH is violently abusive, so you may well get some startled reactions to your OP.

pollyanna is a fictional character who is a little girl and no matter what shit happens to her or how mean people are to her (one horrid old woman in particular) pollyanna smiles and sings and sees the bright side in everything. Then she falls out of a tree.

Ah right madamez, thanks littlelapin.

Right I'm off to change my username

I don't think the OP means to be saccharine. She's loved up and can't keep it inside, I get that

I've been with my dp for 9years now and I thank God everyday.

I can't bear to read the relationship forum on MN as it's so frightening.

eenybeeny · 13/06/2008 23:27

LL I have always wanted someone to say

'eenybeeny PMSL'

you have made my day! how very pollyanna of me!! around nervously at surrounding trees and makes mental note not to climb]]]

eenybeeny · 13/06/2008 23:29

oops

I screwed up my tree joke. was supposed to be in (())

I have had a lot of wine tonight! and a day full of epiphanies. 3 in fact.

formallyknownasDevilwearsPrada · 13/06/2008 23:29

I'm back

eenybeeny · 13/06/2008 23:31

are you going to gradually change it altogether?? I am embarrassingly undecided about namechanging.
