am i being unreasonable about a jiyu skin product my husband bought me?

my husband surprised me with a jiyu skin product and when i looked it up i realized it’s around £120, which caught me off guard

i’m not upset at all, just trying to sanity-check whether my reaction is reasonable or if i’m overthinking it. i’m used to skincare in a much lower price range, so seeing that number made me pause

i’m not questioning the product itself or how to use it, more just trying to understand if this kind of pricing is normal in skincare or if it’s fair to feel a little hesitant

curious how other people would feel in this situation

What did he buy you? I am currently on a retinol skin care regime and the brand I discovered, and love, has pretty pricey skincare (average $80-$120)... the products are amazing so my skin looks great (IMO haha) but my wallet is sad 😆

I think it's fairly priced if that's a quality skincare brand.

Are you sure? Most Jiyu stuff is much much cheaper than that.

The moisturiser is about £15. The toner pads are about a tenner. It must be a really specialised product to be so much. Or you’ve looked on a dodgy website

What's making you pause, OP?

That he bought you an expensive present?

That he seems to think you need expensive skincare?

That he is out of touch with what you prefer?

That you don't usually use this brand?
